All fights to North Cyprus have to pass through Turkey. Be very careful when booking flights as you do not want to find yourself booked to South Cyprus because only people with EU passports are allowed to passes through to North Cyprus from South Cyprus.

Its only possible to cross over from South Cyprus (Larnaca Airport ) to North Cyprus if you hold an EU passport.
It is possible to reach North Cyprus from South-Cyprus via Larnaca airport and drive over the border to North Cyprus (40 minutes drive).However, this option is only possible for holders of EU passports.
For non-EU passport holder please do not attempt to fly to North Cyprus through Larnaca Airport because its impossible to enter North Cyprus through that route, you will be deported back to your country once they find out you do not have a visa for South Cyprus but only for North Cyprus. A number of students have found themselves in that dilemma and had to cancel tickets before they boarded to the wrong airport.
