Application Requirements and Documentation

Documents required for admission

Foreigners who have received comprehensive secondary or basic education in certain disciplines related to the recruitment and training regulations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in Turkey or other countries/regions are entitled to higher education and postgraduate education (doctorate).

Non-foreigners And those registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine No. 2004/24536 on November 25, 2013 (amended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine 11 1272 on December 11, 2015).

Entering "undergraduate" and "graduate" programs in an available course of study offered by the university, applicants must submit the following documents to the university admissions committee:

  • Application form
  • Original and photocopy of the passport of foreign citizens;
  • Original and copy of education certificate (secondary school or above) and its attachments;
  • A health certificate approved by the official health agency of the foreigner’s country of origin and issued at least two months before the foreigner travels to Ukraine to study;
  • No proof of HIV infection;
  • Emergency medical insurance;
  • 6 photos of 60 * 40 mm.

The documents mentioned in paragraphs 2-5 must be certified following the laws of the country that was issued and legalized by the Ukrainian Embassy in the country of origin of the foreigner, and must also be translated into Ukrainian.

Doctoral programs

The following other doctoral studies are acceptable:

  1.  The theme plan/ research proposal of the thesis for the doctorate degree;
  2. A copy of the diploma of the appropriate degree;
  3. List of published scientific papers;
  4. The written description of the applicant's scientific activities should be approved by the scientific adviser and written by the university's full-time science, teaching, or science doctor.

        Tuition and Scholarships at The National University of Ostroh Academy

        National University of Ostroh Academy (NUOA) is a higher education institution accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. NUOA can help students deepen their understanding of Ukrainian history and culture by combining rigorous education with a rich cultural atmosphere.

        The payment schedule for international students admitted to the university is distributed during the study period of each program. The tuition fee of the university is paid annually in US dollars or Ukrainian hryvnia.

        NUOA continues to be one of the leading organizations that recognize and reward talent, motivation, and opportunities in Ukraine. The university sends career-focused professionals each year, but still offers some opportunities for future students.

        NUOA aims to provide individuals with advanced equipment knowledge in all areas of life. Tuition fees at the university are applied to international students according to certain factors determined by the university administration.

        Studies at NUOA are in Ukrainian and English, international students can opt to take classes in any of the two languages. Tuition at the university changes between programs, study levels, and language of instruction.

        For programs in English, bachelor students can pay around 23,200 UAH per semester, and 14,950 per semester for programs in Ukrainian. Masters students have to pay 27,300 UAH for studies in English and 19,450 for studies in Ukrainian.

        Post-graduate students at UAH however, all pay the same amount annually regardless of their specialties, the average tuition costs for doctoral programs at NUOA is 54,600 UAH per academic year.

        The tuition fee at the university has been determined to be one of the cheapest in the country considering the very high standard of education that is offered through and through. Students benefit from a top-tier academic academy and receive advanced and well-recognized higher degrees at bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. levels.

        On Campus Accomodation at The National University of Ostroh Academy

        There are 9 dormitories for students of Ostroh Academy, one of which ("Academic House") is a dormitory of increased comfort (with amenities in each room).

        The second, third, sixth dormitories are united in the lower campus, the eighth, ninth, tenth - in the upper campus, the fourth, seventh dormitories, and the "Academic House" are located separately.

        During 2013-2015, the dormitories of the Ostroh Academy won the Regional competition-review of the best student dormitory, which is held following the order of the Department of Education and Science of the Rivne Regional State Administration

        Dormitories are not assigned to certain faculties (institutes). However, each faculty (institute) has a certain quota of places for students to settle in a particular dormitory. To settle in a dormitory, freshmen must, when submitting the originals, write an application for settlement and provide copies of documents that may entitle them to priority settlement.

        A student who settles in a dormitory is obliged to personally present a passport and hand over to the dormitory manager (commandant) a warrant (referral) for the right to take a place in a dormitory with prepayment for accommodation in the manner and amounts stipulated in the dormitory settlement agreement, but at least a month in advance.

        The student who settles in the dormitory is indicated his place of residence, the necessary equipment is provided, and if necessary, a set of linen and a pass to the right to enter the dormitory.

        The student must be acquainted with the Rules of the dormitory internal rules and safety rules under the signature.

        Documents for the registration of students who settle in the dormitory are submitted by the administration of the dormitory (campus) in the prescribed manner to the state authorities authorized to register the place of residence of individuals.

        Off Campus Accomodation at The National University of Ostroh Academy

        Students have the luxury of choosing private accommodation off-campus according to student budgets. It is noteworthy that the cost of renting an apartment is dependent on many factors such as location, furniture, year of construction, and even on the floor of the house.

        Commonly, the cost of renting a basic apartment a month usually starts from €150. While some homes may have furniture, others do not, it is in the best interest of the students to check with the landlord before renting a property.

        Also, renting an apartment out of campus implies that utilities such as electricity, water, heating, cable tv, and internet all come separate from the rent, and students would have to pay the utility bill. However, the cost of living in Ostroh is low so students can live comfortably on a budget.


        Sports at The National University of Ostroh Academy

        There is a sports area at the university for students who enjoy sports and physical activities. Each student can spend a lot of time training or learning various extracurricular sports activities.

        The sports center is equipped with sports facilities such as basketball courts, volleyball courts, tennis courts and football fields. There is also a well-equipped and functional gym for students who want to stay healthy or are dependent on other aerobic exercises.

        Students living in the dormitory can enjoy free campus meals. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are prepared in the school cafeteria and all students are offered a variety of meals in the form of an open buffet. There are also cafes and faculty canteens.

        Students can buy different foods at discounted prices in one day at the university. These canteens can also cater to staff's needs and are a great place to relax during class hours.

        There are gourmet cafes and cafeterias in the dormitory where students can find a variety of mouth-watering food options for different tastes.



        About Ostroh

        The city and administrative center of Ostrog Raion, SSR Rovno District, Ukraine, is 13 kilometers from Ostrog Railway Station on the Rivne-Shepetovka line.

        Population: 10,900 (1974). Products include furniture, butter, cheese, refined sugar, canned fruits, beer, bricks, and drain pipes. Ostrog also has a food processing department. They have diaries. The city has a history museum and local legends.

        Ostrog was first mentioned in Hypation Chronicle in 1100. In the late 12th century, Vladimir became part of the Principality of Warren. In the 13th and early 14th centuries, the city was part of the Galicia-Warren Duchy.

        From the 14th century to the beginning of the 17th century, Ostrog belonged to Prince Ostrozhskii. From 1576 to 1582, Fedorov I lived in Ostrog and established a printing house there. In 1793, the city became part of the Russian Empire.

        Between 1920 and 1939, Ostrog belonged to bourgeois Poland. In September 1939, Ukraine reunited with the SSR. From July 3, 1941, to January 13, 1944, Ostrog was occupied by fascist German troops. small. Under the command of Odukha, he was rescued by the guerrillas.

        In Zakkovaia or Krasnaia on the mountain, there are the ruins of Prince Ostrozhsky’s castle (14th-16th centuries). These include the Bogoiavlenskaia Church (built in the 15th century), which was built in the Russian architectural style of the 12th and 13th centuries.

        The remaining towers are Murovana (14th to 16th century) and Kruglaia or Novaia (16th century). The northwest part of the fort is the remains of the city’s fortifications, including the Tatarskaia and Lutskaia towers, both of which date back to the 16th century.

        The Trinity Monastery (15th and 16th century) is located in the village of Mezhirichi on the outskirts of Ostrog. The Trinity Church (15th century) is modeled after the Bogoiavlenskaia Church in Ostrog.
