Undergraduate Students

Applicants prospecting to study here will be assessed on an individual basis, based on their country’s academic qualifications and standards. The language of instruction and assessment for all programs at Toros University is English for international programs with exceptions.

Tuition and Scholarships at Oxyegin University

At Oxyegin University, students receive top education at very reasonable costs. With their quite competitive standards, the institution is however devoted to providing students with the chance to excel without the constraints that come with student fees. Tuition in Oxyegin University starts at $12,000 for an academic year.

This fee cuts across the majority of the faculties in the university including the Faculty of Law and Faculty of Engineering. Undergraduate candidates in the Faculty of Aviation & Aeronautical sciences pay a slightly higher fee of $13,000 for courses in Professional Flight.

There is a reduction in the fees for students in the School of Applied Sciences, seeing students pay a lower $10,000 for B.Sc in Hotel Management. This tuition, however, does not include the mandatory GSS (government medical insurance), Student costs, and Accommodation.

It is worthy of note that all accepted candidates are favorably considered for scholarship aid or tuition reduction along with their offer of admission. 

Oxyegin University currently has a magnanimous scholarship structure that seeks to seamlessly assist students on their journey with the institution.

As such, waivers ranging from 25% to 100% are favorably given to applicants who possess strong academic qualifications. Their suitability and eligibility are primarily reviewed by the department and the admissions office during the application process, and it is updated and reinstated based on the already stated terms and regulations.

Additionally, payment of fees can be structured into installments, such that the student can divide payments into Fall and Spring semesters.

Founded on May 18, 2007, by Husnu M. Oxyegin Foundation, the university’s vision was designed as a collective idea and started off as a project of think tanks with a combination of input and suggestions from over 300 individuals from all works of life.

The school opened its doors to students in the Fall of 2008 in Altunizade, Istanbul but with expansion comes new change, and in 2011 the school moved to a new location in Cekmekoy, Istanbul.

Off Campus Accomodation at Oxyegin University

On the other hand, off-campus accommodation (within range of the university) with similar features is available, with prices depending on the specific need of the student. Costs also include water and electricity bills. There is also a chance to rent accommodation from a private landlord or estate agent.

Prices fluctuate greatly depending on the location and quality of the apartment, however, the price of housing here averages around 200 to 350 EUR per month

That said, students are often encouraged to stay on campus for at least a year as they find their way around and are hence able to find help from university staff at any time.

Sports at Oxyegin University

Oxyegin University also values and appreciates the need for extramural activities allowing students to chill, wind-down, interact socially and network. The University intends through sport to create an open environment to encourage students to actively engage in sport and social clubs so as to promote the development of leadership and skills training.

Upon arrival, new students are informed on several sports and clubs that BUC has, and are encouraged to take part. Some of the sports the university offers include: Athletics; Basketball; Tennis; Volleyball; Table Tennis; Swimming; Football etc.

For students looking at taking sport more competitively, there's an opportunity to represent the university and be considered for a sporting scholarship. Oxyegin University is actively engaged in competitions and sporting challenges all year round. Trials and thereafter selection of the best players are carried out at the beginning of each semester for each team.

Food at Oxyegin University

Turks can cook nice food particularly seafood and fish. These two dishes amongst many are just their specialties that will make you fall in love with Toros University. A downside (or an advantage) is the size of their portions – they are huge.

The food is quite delicious and looks appetizing. The chefs that operate on campus are skilled and trained to cook quality food with high standards of hygienic operations and service provision.

For students who reside off-campus, they pay up to 10 euros for a considerably satisfying meal on campus while those who stay on-campus do only need to pay once for foodservice alongside with the tuition fees.

Several food chains and catering outlets are present nothing short of 1km from the dormitories with a few situated within the dormitory and easily accessible. They offer a variety of meal options both Turkish and ıntercontinental, there is something for everyone.

Students also enjoy the walk-in grocery stations and mini markets for all their utility and personal shopping needs.


Transportation at Oxyegin University

Oxyegin University provides an efficient and reliable bus service so at to ease student and stuff travel concerns. The university offers free (identified and registered students) shuttle service around campus while there's bus around the city at designated bus stops, even into areas not covered by the city transportation provider. 

This service is free of charge for all Toros University students upon presentation of their Student ID or registration form to the bus driver.

To complement the university efforts in offering reliable and efficient transport there are local commutes dedicated to the task of board students on fixed schedules.

The university buses are modern looking with WIFI, comfortable, spacious and air-conditioned.
