Preschool education in Tunisia is open for children aged 3 to 6 years. Pre-school education is however optional and not compulsory and is offered by schools such as kindergartens, Kouttabs, and other preschool institutions. There are however still low enrolment rates in Tunisian pre-schools.

British international school of Tunis

This is a private school in La Soukra, Ariana Governorate, Tunisia that offers both elementary and secondary education. It enrolls about 250 students, aged 3 to 18, from Key Stage 1 to 5. Primary School here is for children aged 3 to 11 years. It follows the English National Curriculum.

This is a private Montessori preschool in Tuni, Tunisia offering a Montessori-based education. It offers a very conducive environment where each child discovers learning in the form of writing-reading-mathematics-science,  at their own pace. Prospective students- the following must be submitted with the application forms:

  • a photocopy of the child's vaccination record
  • a certificate of good health for the child drawn up by a registered physician
  • a birth certificate of the child.
  • 4 color identity photos.
  • a copy of the parents' national identity card.
  • in the event of a divorce, a copy of the judgment establishing parental authority, and the conditions for its exercise must be submitted.

This is a non-profit independent international school in Tunis, Tunisia offering an American curriculum from pre-kindergarten to the 12th grade. The school aims to inspire a passion for learning while endowing students with the expertise and confidence to pursue their vision in a global society.

Preschool at the school is a play-based program with mixed classes of children aged 3 to 4 years old.
