Major cities in the Czech Republic like Prague, Brno, and Ostrava have the best nightlife in the country and arguably even in Europe. There are many night time activities all year long and a great number of exciting discoveries all around the city. As a student, you can enjoy the many avenues to mingle and socialize in your local university or the local area, where there are student associations, clubs, events and parties at different times in a year.

As an international student, you can make these avenues and activities into a brilliant way to make new friends and connections or find other people from the same country as you are. New students have a freshers party where they are introduced to the university campus and all the exciting things they can do as a student in the Czech Republic.

Nightlife in Prague

Looking for where to party the night away or just enjoy a cool night about town? Then make your way to ‘Bermuda Triangle’ at the old town center in Prague, the area was named so because of its maze-like streets and seemingly unending buildings. Clubs you can visit in the area include James Dean, Kozička, M1 Club which are a bit high end and have a mixed crowd of patrons from young to old.

Looking to snack on some street food as you tunnel your way through the triangle, then we suggest you look out for Burrito Loco, a Spanish food truck that serves delicious nighttime delicacies, and the right place to stack up on food as you drink the night away. If you like dance clubs then Harley’s must be your one-spot if you like to bust a move or two, this bar has some of the best music and an impressive lineup of DJs. Many foreign students in Prague speak very highly of ‘Roxy’ a modern club with the perfect scenery and a large number of young patrons who are also students in the country.

Another fun area in the city is located in Dlouhá Street, comically dubbed ‘the party street’ because of the large amounts of tourists that scatter the area at night time. One other popular street for fun activities is Michalskán street where one bar named ‘Anonymous Bar’ which arguably serves the best cocktails in the city. Lastly, if you’re even more adventurous, make your way to Karlovy Lázně, the six-story club with a perfect view of the city.
