About University of Neuchâtel

Located between Geneva, Bern and Zurich, the University of Neuchâtel is made up of four faculties which welcome some 4,200 students, 50% of whom come from other Swiss cantons and 22% from abroad. It offers many opportunities for bachelors, as well as masters in Letters and Human Sciences, Law, Science and Economics, often original, all recognized by the Bologna Declaration, therefore euro-compatible.

The Neuchâtel Alma Mater thus offers a vast study and research program in innovative fields that meet the needs of society. These areas are found in particular within thirteen themes for teaching and research in which the UniNE has key skills, all faculties combined and identified in the 2027 strategiv vision. The institution is known for its proximity between students and professors, in an atmosphere that promotes the quality of supervision, exchanges and conviviality.

About Neuchâtel

The city of Neuchâtel, the French-speaking capital of the Swiss canton Neuchâtel, lies on the northern shore of Lake Neuchâtel. Its medieval old town spreads beneath the Château de Neuchâtel, a castle begun in the 12th century. The adjacent Collégiale is a Gothic church from the same period. In the Jura Mountains west of the city, Creux du Van is an amphitheaterlike canyon with hiking trails and panoramic views.
