Application Requirements for Switzerland Universities

RocApply is free of charge for students. We do not charge any application or agency fees. Everyone is free to apply throughout the year.

Eligible students are welcome to apply to any of the available universities in Switzerland as long as they meet the general requirements and course-specific requirements for masters and doctoral programs. A student who is in the process of obtaining the necessary documents can still proceed to apply through RocApply and inform us when the document is available.

Step by Step How to Apply?

  1. Fill the application form
  2. Pay the application fee
  3. Upload copies of the following application documents on to the RocApply platform and carry the originals with you to the university after receiving acceptance

1. Undergraduate/ Masters Programs Application Requirements:

  • High school diploma or it's equivalent
  • Application form (carefully filled and signed)
  • Copy of identification document or international passport
  • Two passport photographs
  • Proof of payment of the application fee (100-250 CHF)
  • Personal Statement
  • Language proficiency results for any of the official language of instruction (English, French, German)
  • English: TOEFL, IELTS (5.5 on each module)
  • French: DELF or DALF
  • German: TestDaF, TelC, DSH, OSD

(NB: In some universities, students who do not have any of this certificates can take a language exam set by the department during registration to determine if they are skillful enough to embark on their studies)

2. Masters Programs Application Requirements: (in addition to the above documents)

  • Bachelors degree certificate
  • Official transcripts from each university attended

3. Ph.D. Programs Application Requirements: (in addition to the above documents)

  • A sponsorship letter from a top tier academic staff in the university to serve as an instructor and to oversee and supervise the students' research work.

Please note that all diplomas and transcripts that are not in either English, French, or German must be translated into any of the three official languages by a certified assessment type.

Switzerland University Admission Application Deadlines

  • a) Fall semester: 1 December – 30 April
  • b) Spring Semester: 1 May – 30 November
