Accommodation

A one-bedroom apartment in City Centre in St Kitts And Nevis costs about EC$1 635.76, and an Apartment (one bedroom) Outside of the city center costs EC$1 000.00. Several rental accommodations come fully furnished with basic room requirements.

Transport

The prices for local transportation or rental are as follows: One Litre of gasoline costs EC$6.60, One-way ticket for local transport costs about EC$ 3.25. Some other transport options found in Bhutan include:

Car rental- A selection of cars, motorcycles, and mopeds are available for hire from several companies. These can be booked in advance and collected upon arrival in the country. Car hire companies include Avis and Hertz, and several local vendors. You need to be at 21 years and above to hire a car.

Buses- Buses on St Kitts and Nevis come in the form of minivans or microbuses. They are privately owned but regulated by the government, and can be identified by their green license plate which starts with the letter ‘H’. it is possible to flag them down and ask the driver to let you off anywhere on the islands, there are also many bus stops and shelters along the routes.

Taxis- Taxis serve most destinations across the islands. There is a 50% surcharge between 2200hrs -0600hrs. Taxi drivers here expect a 10% tip.

Bike- You can hire motorbikes, mopeds, and bikes to get around the islands though safety equipment is often not included in the price. Local companies include Sunny Blue Scooter Rentals, and Bike, Kayak 'N' Windsurf Nevis

Coach- Colourfully decorated, privately owned vans operate on several bus routes on St Kitts and can be flagged down at any point along the road. This low-cost transport service is used extensively by locals and less frequently by tourists.

Trains- Trains are another transport alternative in Saint Kitts and Nevis. There is an enjoyable scenic railway that takes the route of an old narrow-gauge line built to transport sugar cane Which still caters to tourists. The trains are double-decked, and the top floor is open, providing a panoramic view across the landscape. In these trains, travelers are provided complimentary drinks, and there is also a live singing performance on board.
