 Student Life in Norway

Norway is a beautiful country with raw and untouched nature, natural reservations and parks and the Aurora Borealis. With many fjords and the home of the very popular Sogne Fjord, which is the third-largest in the world, Norway has been dubbed one of the most beautiful and environmentally friendly countries today.

The many mountains and magnificent landscapes are one of the many reasons students fall in love with Norway, the boundless adventurous possibilities are endless. Students who love outdoor activities will find Norway the perfect fit for their needs

Norwegians work hard but they also have a good time when it boils down to that. Same can be said for the students in the country.

Older students advise incoming students to not feel the need to always currency convert the money from Norway to their home currency as this can be a little scary and takes away from the experience.

Students with part-time jobs in a big city like Oslo, find it quite thrilling as the remuneration is very high and it compares to what they need to survive, and then some.

There’s a lot of things happening for students in Norway, with so many societies to get involved with that have social events and activities that foster student pride and community.

In present Norway, there is something called ‘Fadderullan’ across many schools. It is an initiation week where fresh students are put together to get to know each other through a line of events and parties with all the students. They have essentially one week of concerts and team building activities and an all-in-all great experience.
