Scholarship Opportunities For Students in Mozambique

Every year there is an increase in the number of students who wish the study in Mozambique. To facilitate this, Government and other private institutions have set aside Scholarships both for local and international students. RocApply takes you through some of the scholarships available and also assists in completing your application.

Below is a list of Scholarships available to assist international students to study in Mozambique

African Pathways Scholarship

The scholarship program is available for non-south African students, with a preference for women, and is valued at R120 000 in the first year. Annual renewal is subject to satisfactory progress. The maximum period for the award is three years. The chosen candidates should meet the following requirements:

1. A cover page with:

  • Full names as on your identification documents
  • Full contact details, address, email, and telephone number
  • Name of the institution at which you wish to complete your Ph.D. studies full time.

2. Letter of acceptance by the university that you will be registered for Ph.D. study.

3. A motivational letter of not more than 500 words.

4. A research proposal stating the problem statement, methodology, feasibility of your study, and the contribution it will make to the body of knowledge in the relevant field.

5. Two letters of recommendation from academics who have assessed your thesis

6. A certified copy of academic transcript/s

Graça Machel Scholarship Programme

The Graca Machel Scholarship Programme will a minimum of 60 scholarships to female students from Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, South Africa, and Zambia. The Graca Machel scholarship is for women who have struggled in their life in terms of their gender, disability, poverty, age, or racial discrimination.

Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to women on merit, financial need, leadership potential, and commitment to work to bring change in Africa. Applicants must have at least two years' relevant work experience.
