About Rabat

Rabat, an imperial city and Moroccan capital, has found a voice towards sustainable development that is very apparent at the global level.

The administrative city par excellence offers many advantages to its inhabitants and residents living in the many Rbatis districts.

A city giving new perspectives thanks to the quality infrastructures that we will be able to distinguish all around the capital, associating a remarkable economic potential in constant renewal with abundant natural resources.

Located on the Atlantic coast, north-west of Morocco, Rabat is the result of a fruitful dialogue between the Arab-Muslim past and Western modernism.

Thanks to its pleasant climate, its privileged location on the edge of the Atlantic, its exceptional history, Rabat-Salé stands out as a leading tourist destination.

Its coastline unwinds nearly 60 kilometers of coastline where rocky coves or sandy beaches follow one another and its hinterland offers an ideal ecological diversity for hiking.

Culturally and historically, it benefits from a unique heritage, reflecting the diversity of heritages that have shaped the Deux Rives du BouRegreg over the centuries.

From their past, Rabat and Salé have preserved rich historical and cultural heritages, witnesses of the civilizations and dynasties which followed one another.

At the start of the Protectorate, Rabat became a real urban laboratory. A new town is designed by a team of architects, town planners, and landscapers (Prost, Ecochard, and Forestier) who are laying the foundations for a new town planning. This has earned Rabat a city center endowed with high-quality urban and landscaped facilities.

Located less than one hundred kilometers from Casablanca, Rabat is the administrative capital of the country, the city where ministries and large administrations are concentrated.

The atmosphere of this large white city with wide arteries is totally different from that of Casablanca, although it is also located by the sea.

Rabat is separated from its neighboring city, Salé, by the Bou-Regreg River, in practice the two cities form a single agglomeration.

Rabat also has an old medina, unlike Casablanca, it is the Kasbah of the Oudayas, by the sea which makes it a good place to live.

Moreover, many Moroccans take advantage of the easy connections with Casablanca to live in Rabat and work in Casa. Whether by train or by car, it takes only about an hour.
