Students studying in a foreign land can find it a bit difficult to pay for their tuition in international universities. There are various scholarship options available to assist students to study in Morocco. Scholarships can be either partial or full, covering tuition and other expenses.

Scholarships to study in Morocco include:

IBRO African Regional Committee Research Bursaries for African Researchers

This scholarship is available to young African researchers and offers up to 4000 Euros for each recipient. IBRO is the global federation of Neuroscience organizations which aims to promote all around Africa.

To be eligible, one must be a resident of Africa, must be 45 years old or younger, and must have published a significant report in neurosciences. This scholarship can be applied for online and students must be able to prove their English proficiency to be eligible.

IITA Research Fellowship on Youth Engagement in Agribusiness and Rural Economic Activities in Africa

The scholarship is open for young academics and professionals at the research stage of their programs. The scholarship aims to contribute to policy development and engagement of the youth in agribusiness and economic activities in Africa.

It is basically for students studying agricultural economics, agribusiness, economics, or any social science linked to agriculture. It can offer up to $10 000 worth of grants to students in these particular fields.

Eligibility Criteria: Students must be from Benin, Cameroon, DRC, Malawi, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Senegal, and Zambia. Candidates must not be more than 40 years old, Students must be scholars at any research institute or University, Candidates must be majoring in Agriculture and Social Science related fields and must have completed their university course work.

AMCI SCHOLARSHIP FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

This scholarship program caters to students studying for their undergraduate, Masters or Ph.D. and is open for international students. AMCI stands for the Moroccan Agency of International Cooperation.

The main aim of this scholarship is to strengthen and encourage a bond with foreign students. The scholarship is in the form of grants to cover the student's training. About 750 Dirhams are given per month for 12 months.

Eligibility: For undergraduates, applicants must have a high school diploma or in most cases O and A level. The applicant must be between 19-23 years old. For Masters and Ph.D. applicants must specify the subject and the requested university.

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships

These are awarded to undergraduates whose financial need is outstanding. Undergraduate Applicants that have mostly been underserved by study abroad programs are welcome to apply. Up to $7,000 may be awarded per scholarship.

Fulbright Scholarships-Fulbright Scholarships are among the most incredibly competitive, yet equally generous. The program welcomes Ph.D. applicants for Fulbright scholarship to Morocco and other African destinations. It is open for all disciplines, but candidates are expected to align themselves with a local university, such as the University or a research institution. Scholarships cover an academic year of study in the country.

To be eligible for ordinary undergraduate scholarships, the student must provide their O’ and A-Level certificates. They must also have the completed application form. Proof of acceptance into the Institution or proof of study, Passport-sized photos, Passport copy, Health Insurance, Proof of general English proficiency requirements, Motivational letter outlining why you are eligible for the scholarship.

For Master Degree scholarships, prospective students, the following documents must be sent with all applications: Certified copy of undergraduate degree and academic transcript, one passport size photo with the applicant's name written at the back, one academic reference in a sealed envelope, one employment reference in a sealed envelope and a motivational letter. Applicants must also provide a Curriculum Vitae showing their work history and education.

For Ph. D scholarship the applicants must provide a cover page with their full names as on your identification documents, their full contact details, address, email, and telephone number, the name of the institution at which you wish to complete your Ph.D. studies full time. They must also send along with the application, a letter of acceptance by the university that you will be registered for the Ph.D. study, a motivational letter of not more than 500 words., a research proposal stating the problem statement, methodology, feasibility of your study, and the contribution it will make to the body of knowledge in the relevant field, and two letters of recommendation from academics who have assessed through their thesis.
