The primary education in Morroco consists of 6 years of education for children aged 6-12 years. This can be attained at private or public primary schools. Upon completion of Primary school, students will sit for an end-of primary examination and be awarded the Certificat d'etudes primaires which will guarantee admission into lower secondary schools. Primary education is compulsory for all children between the ages of 6 and 13 years.

Curriculum- The primary school curriculum consists of different classes in French and Arabic, with the English class taught as a secondary language. English as a language is not introduced in public schools until the 7th grade. Subjects taught at primary school include the Arabic language, French language, science, Islamic education, mathematics, history, geography, and English as a secondary language, to mention but a few.
