Monotel - Run by a Spanish father and son, this local outles gets busy at around two in the morning and regularly plays hosts to Mauritanian DJs. This place offers a decent restaurant and bar by day, is a fairly reliable source for whiskey.
Naf's Cafe - Located behind Friso's will also have beer, whisky rum and vodka here. Naf in the American Embassy will also have drinks during the day and a really an appealing spot to enjoy a night out! If you are feeling bold, simply start asking around if anyone knows where to get drinks. Several people will sell it here and there, smuggled from surrounding countries such as Senegal, but don't expect anything top shelf. A small bottle should run you around 6,000-10,000 each.
Due to the Muslimic belief nigthlife is restrictive in Mauritania. The best way to make the best way to get about it is to stay tuned with informants in some circles but your best bet would rather be on locals that have knowledge on the whereabouts of the cities.
