For potential students, several requirements are required. Some are general and uniform across all universities in the world, some are country-specific, some are university-specific and some are program-specific.
A passport copy- This is the very first requirement if one is to apply to Malian institutions. The passport must be availed and valid for at least 6 more months upon arrival into Mali.
2 Passport-sized photographs-these have to be recent and of not more than 3 months and attached to the application forms
Motivational letter- most Universities and countries require potential applicants to write a motivation letter specifying reasons why they are applying to the institution and stating why they should be granted admission and why they may be the best candidates.
Visa- prospective students must have a visa to be allowed to study in Mali.
Proof of general English proficiency – students must be able to prove their English proficiency if they are coming from non- English speaking countries. If they do not meet the requirements, they can be put on a special program or arrangement until they can meet the requirement.
Contact No- prospective students must provide traceable contacts that will be used in case they need to be contacted.
Health and Life Insurance- this is very important when traveling to a foreign land. Students must have health insurance so that their health will be taken care of for the duration of their stay in Mali.
Recommendation Letters for MA, Ph.D. Students - for masters and Ph.D. students, they have to provide a recommendation from traceable references who have gone through their work or thesis.
Research proposal for MA and Ph.D. students.
Proof of working experience- for Master and Ph.D. students have to have working experience in the related field of study they intend to pursue.
