There is only one airport in Macau. Details are as follows.
Macau international Airport
This is the only airport in Macau and began operations in 1995. It is located on Taipa Island. It is a public airport with an asphalt runway of about 3360 metres and only one terminal. In 2017, the airport handled about 7 165 803 passengers. The airport is designed to handle 6million passengers per year, with a processing capacity of 2000 passengers per hour. The airport has 10 gates and 24 parking spaces with 5 jet ways.
The Macau international airport has two lounges namely the plaza premium lounge, and the Macau lounge. Plaza premium lounge offers light refreshments, and entertainment facilities that help customers relax well while awaiting their flights. Macau lounge is open for all business class passengers and has free Wi-Fi access.
Travelers at the airport have access to shopping at the duty free shops at the airport. Duty free shops include the Shilla Duty free shop, China Duty Free, 7-Eleven, Circle-K, Pastelaria Yeng Kee, and Miniso. There are a number of items including beauty and fashion items, liquor, tobacco, and other accessories.
There are a number of eateries at the airport including Koi kei Bakery, MX, Starbucks, Bloom, Food2, Foodlane, and McDonalds. The airport also offers services such as banking services, luggage storage, a smoking lounge, and a money exchange facility.
