About Lithuania:

Lithuania is located in Northern Europe, in the Southeast of the Baltic Sea. Lithuania is one of the best places to pursue higher education. It also has many places for tourist attractions to occupy your free time.

About the city:

Vilnius is a historic gem of Lithuania and the country’s capital and most populous city. The city post-independence in 1990 continues to grow and develop, becoming more attractive, tolerant modern, and progressive over the coming years. The city center of Vilnius consists of 5 major areas; The Old Town, one of the largest surviving medieval old towns in Europe that have developed over the course of many centuries and home to some of the continent’s greatest architectural sites.

Užupis a self-proclaimed republic is the artistic district of the city and houses all the shops, restaurants and art galleries. What formerly used to be the dodgiest part of the city, Šnipiškĕs, has now been transformed into a central business district housing several companies and corporate establishments. In that aspect, Vilnius was named by the Financial Times in 2019 as the most attractive city for tech start-ups. The Žvĕrynas district is the greenest area of the central city and has a very sub-urban atmosphere.

The New Town is the fifth and most recent area in Vilnius, experiencing very rapid redevelopment and infrastructural growth, the area is modern and very urban attracting tons of Lithuanian resettlers every year. Vilnius is a very strategic city that has stayed true to its cultural heritage yet adapting to the new world. The city is home to a very ethnically diverse group of people from all walks of life.
