The country is one of the countries known for being one of the economically stable countries in the world today. It is very interesting to tourists and settlers, due to the lower cost of living than in other countries.

The country is cheap and affordable for people fond of living there. If you are earning your salary in a country other than Liechtenstein, this might be an ideal place to live.

Restaurants

Even though the salaries are low, many people from the country spend money at the local restaurants.

This might be due to the low prices of meals since you can eat a decent one for just USD 2. It is not uncommon that the price of the beer is higher than the price of the dish.

Markets

Food takes much of the monthly budget, even though many people would say that it is not expensive at all. But, when compared to their salaries, food prices are appropriate and affordable. Purchasing groceries at the market is always advisable to be able to put some money away.

Transportation

You can indeed save some money on the rent of the apartment that is away from the city center, but that will mean that transportation will be paramount to get to work.

A monthly pass can be found at the price of around USD 12 and if you possess a car, which is not so frequent in Liechtenstein, you will need to pay USD 1.10 for the gallon of gasoline.

Utilities

By paying the quite exorbitant as compared to the minimum wages you do not pay basic utilities such as electricity, heating, water, and garbage. The prices of services are lower than in the USA and Australia, but they are appropriate for the standard of people living here.

Sports and leisure

Entertainment, like watching movies in cinemas, is not expensive here. You can watch the latest release at the price of USD 6. Sportspeople who come to live here, but earn salaries in more developed countries, will be amazed by the low fitness club fee prices.

Clothing and shoes

Owing to the very struggling lifestyle of the majority of people living here, it is not unusual that the prices of clothing and shoes are not high. You can find a pair of jeans and a dress at the price of less than USD 30, which is so low in comparison to other regions.

Rent per month

If you take a look at the average cost of a one-bedroom apartment in the city, you can notice that it is twice higher than the minimum monthly salary of the workers, so it is impossible to rent it. The cost of rent of the apartments out of the cities is USD 250, which is again high for them, but again more appropriate.

Health Care

Most institutions here will require the student to have their personal or private health insurance valid over the study period. However, do not fret, RocApply helps you identify which aids can be undertaken in Liechtenstein during your course of study without hassles! In general, the cost to consult a private doctor will cost about USD 60 in Liechtenstein, although this depends on the clinic and location.

Monthly Budget

Those interested in simple living should budget between USD 450 or less monthly. Generally, this budget allows for bus rides and the occasional taxi, big trips to the marketplace, and a few restaurant meals each month. While you can choose to live in relative luxury, employing full-time housekeepers, commuting by car, enjoying exquisite homes, and consuming imported goods such as lifestyles can easily amount to USD 650 or more monthly.
