6. Lerotholi Polytechnic

Lerotholi Polytechnic (LP) is an autonomous public institution established in 1905. It is governed by the Lerotholi Polytechnic Act of 1997 and offers both Crafts and Technician programmes. It has grown from about 50 students in 1905 to around 3000 currently. The institution comprises four schools, namely, the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) and the School of the Built Environment (SOBE) which offer certificates in craft programs and diplomas in engineering. The School of Enterprise and Management (SEM) offers certificates in Textiles and diplomas in commercial programmes. The School of Continuing Education (SOCE) on the other hand focuses on increasing access to education by offering specific need-based programs and courses to industry and the general public while also using available opportunities to generate income for the institution.

8. Lesotho College of Education

The Lesotho College of Education began its life in 1975 under the name of National Teacher Training College (NTTC). In the course of its development the College has received considerable guidance and assistance from the National University of Lesotho (NUL) with which it still has close relationship, while also developing necessary and relevant links with other institutions of higher learning in the region and internationally. The College is at present the sole provider, in Lesotho, of basic pre-service teacher education to the diploma level, intended for teaching in primary schools and for teaching in the  of secondary schools.  It also provides in-service, part-time distance teacher education to enable unqualified and under-qualified primary school teachers to become qualified to the diploma level.  In addition to these central tasks, the College participates, as needs and opportunities arise, in research, consultancy and evaluation work relevant to the educational system, in the formulation of educational policy, and in the provision of short training courses for teachers.  It is increasingly providing consultancy services to the education system as may be commissioned from time to time.

9. Centre for Accounting Studies

The Centre for Accounting Studies (CAS), also known as 'the Centre', has been in existence since 1979. It was started as a project under a co-operation agreement between the Governments of Lesotho and Ireland. The Centre was started with the sole focus of being an Accountancy Training Institution.
