Fulbright Scholarships

Fulbright Scholarships in Laos benefit Ph.D. applicants from any country. It is open for all disciplines and candidates are expected to be enrolled with a local university or a research institute in Laos, and cover an academic year of study.

  • Eligibility-All nationals are eligible. They must come from disadvantaged communities but exhibiting excellent academic, and outstanding community leadership potential.
  • Application requirements- prospective recipients have to be enrolled for a degree program at any institution in Laos.

Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Program

A scholarship that offers Partial Funding and is offered for international students. It is a scholarship for Bachelors/Undergraduate, and Masters, for students pursuing an Accounting, Business administration, Finance, Criminal justice.

  • Eligibility: Open to all nationals. This scholarship can be taken at any recognized or accredited institution in the world.
  • Benefits: The value of the scholarship is USD 1 000 to USD 10 000.

WMF Empowerment Through Education Scholarships for Developing Country Students

This is a scholarship that covers Bachelor’s Degree studies in any developing country. It provides undergraduate scholarships to nationals from developing countries to study in their home or a neighboring country.

Institution-any choice of institution in your own country or another developing country

Level/Field of study- but applications are encouraged from those interested in pursuing degrees that will best help their local communities including medicine and health sciences, community development, law, education, social work, business, information technology, agriculture, and engineering.

Target group- Citizens from any developing countries

Benefits- range from $300 to $3000 throughout the undergraduate program. Scholarships may be used for tuition and fees, books and materials, and other related costs including rentals and meals, etc.

Eligibility- The ideal candidate:

  • must have completed secondary education, with good to excellent grades
  • must be 35 years old or below
  • Will be studying in his or her country or another developing country in the world
  • Must be pursuing his or her first bachelor’s degree
  • must be enrolled in a program of study that will benefit the community or contribute to the continued growth and advancement of his or her home country
  • the student must be planning to live and work in his or her own country after graduation
  • the student must have demonstrated commitment to giving back and has volunteered before applying
  • the student must have some other funds available for his or her education, but will not be able to go to pursue his or her tertiary degree without financial assistance

Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship Grants for Development

This scholarship is targeted at Masters or Ph.D. Degree studies. it funds graduate-level coursework or research for one to four academic years at any approved University located in a country where there is a host Rotary club or district, outside of the applicant’s home country

Level/Field of Study- Graduate-level coursework or research in any of Rotary’s six areas of focus which are Peace and conflict prevention/resolution, Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, and Economic and community development.

Benefits:

  • The minimum budget for a global grant scholarship is $30,000 which can fund Passport/visa, Inoculations, Travel expenses School supplies, Tuition, Room and board,  Household supplies, Language training courses (but not if university admission is contingent on improvement of language skills).
  • personal and miscellaneous expenses are not covered by the scholarship
