Accommodation

A 1 bedroom Apartment in City Centre in Laos costs about K5 525 183.86, and an Apartment (1 bedroom) Outside of the city center costs K3 154 161.15. Several rental accommodations in Laos come fully furnished with beds, a couch, television, TV stand, dining tables and chairs, coffee table, wardrobe, and washing machine. Other forms of accommodation include homestays, hostels, student residences, and motels, to mention but a few.

Transport

Most places in Laos are well served by a variety of transport options, from the bigger busses to taxis, pedicabs, and tuk-tuks, to mention but a few. Most routes within the cities are usually crowded and require smaller vehicles like tuk-tuks and pedicabs.

Buses- Vientiane is the only city in Laos with a network of local buses. Other places do not have many busses.

Sorngtaaou- these are the largest 3 wheeled taxis found in bigger towns

Jumbo- these are another type of 3 wheeled taxis that can hold 4-6 passengers on 2 facing seats, these are sometimes called tuk-tuks.

Pedicabs- this is an old-style bicycle transport also known as the cyclo.

Taxis- the country has a handful of taxis, mostly used by foreigners or the occasional tourist. These can be hired by the day, hour, or trip. An all-day hire within the city can cost between $35 and $50.
