Nightlife may be a thing for the the adventurous. This is true until you step into Honduras! The country turns into a paradise when the sun goes down! Locals and foreigners mix and mingle to share experiences over drinks and make new friends in the process!

RocApply dedicates this guide to inform you on what to expect once you are in this Central American gem!

This strategically positioned country has a vibrant nightlife and locals love to dance and have a good time. Music bars and clubs can be found in the main cities, and Tegucigalpa and other foreigner spots have many of the best-known clubs in the country.

There are several well-known casinos in the major cities, plus many bars, some of which offer happy hours.

Reggaeton music pours out of the rustic, Caribbean-themed bars in Roatan and Utila, many of which have been built on wooden jetties great for watching the dramatic sunsets with a rum in hand.

Trujillo also has a perfect selection of beachfront bars. San Pedro Sula has its share of bars and dance clubs, and there are some more foreign, low-key bars in hotels, along with a handful of arts centres.

It is worth remembering however, that crime is a serious problem in the country and at night, foreigners are prime targets for criminals. You should avoid go out with large sums of cash, don't wear fancy jewellery or watches, and be careful not to consume one too many outside your premises.

The Bay Islands are considered safer though!

While the consensus has always been that La Ceiba has the best nightlife in Honduras, San Pedro can’t be far behind, and it's catching up fast. There are the majority of the city's many bars, lounges, and clubs.

The two-level lounge and dance club B412 is one of the favorite spots on the strip at the time of writing, particularly their open-air second level that overlooks the city.

Perhaps the hottest late-night club in the country is currently La Ceiba transplant Hibou. If you like DJs blasting loud house, techno, and salsa, crowds of hard-partying hip 20-somethings dressed to the nines, and dancing until dawn, then this place is your best bet.

Covers vary depending on the night, but usually range from USD 20 to USD 40.

There are many places that are chilled out and one of the most happening bars here. The music is the main factor behind making the environment vibrant.

The EDM music and the plush interiors accentuate the mood and ambiance of anyone who intends to party the night away. The bars do not serve alcohol to underage kids, so keep that in mind before heading to Honduran night spots.
