Shopping for food and other requirements in Ghana is fairly easy as students will get their requirements in one place in any of the malls and shopping centres dotted around Ghana. Some of the malls and centres include:

The Accra Mall

This is a shopping centre located in the capital Accra. It is a well-built state of the art shopping mall with more than 65 shops and 9 restaurants. The mall is spread over 20 322 square metres of space and offers parking for up to 900 cars.

Some of the shops located at the Mall include departmental stores such as Game, and Shoprite which offer students an all in one buying experience for their appliances, electricals, and even some of the groceries.

Food retailers and restaurants include Bacelos, Burger King, KFC, Enda foods, Pizza, chicken and Creamy Inn, Rose Joy, Second cup, and many more. For all the students' meals, this is the place to visit.

The remaining shops include Ashform, Monos, Maydan Home Décor for all home and gift requirements, and Aha, Aurum, Bata Shoes, Mr. Price, Pandora, Payless, Zigzag, and other for all fashion requirements, Airtel, MTN, Satguru Travel, and tours, Tigo, Yasone Forex Bureau, and Vodafone for all services.

For health and beauty, there are a variety of shops like B-Fancy, Couture, Exotic Trends, Hair Depot, Paris II, and Scentopia. For all electronics, shops like Samsung, Panasonic, Huawei, Telefonica, and Ishop are available. Lastly, students can indulge in a day or a night at the movies at the Silverbird cinema and gaming at the Vulkano Games.

Kumasi City Mall

this is one of the largest and trending malls in West Africa, located in the city of Kumasi. The mall offers an array of shops for grocery, beauty, electronics and telecommunication, lifestyle, food and restaurants, fashion and clothing, jewelry, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, a cinema, restaurants, and recreation centres to mention but a few. The mall has ample parking space with a capacity of more than 1000 parking bays.

Achimota Retail Mall

this is another one of Ghana’s biggest malls and is located off the Accra Nsawam Highway. It is spread over 35 800 square metres of space and has an amazing collection of shops where you can get all your products in one place.

There are more than 60 shops at the mall. Shops located at Achimota Mall include Banks, restaurants, fashion shops, grocery shops, electronic stores, etc., with the most notable names being Shoprite, Palace, Mr. Price, MTN, and other shops include household names like Nallem Clothing, CompuGhana, and Foods Inn. Enjoy a variety of delicacies at the food courts and get all the goods you need at this one-stop-mall.

The Junction Mall

Is an amazing shopping destination for all shoppers who are fascinated and attracted by quality, beauty, and a serene shopping environment. It is located in Nungua in Accra.

The mall house over 40 stores with popular brands like Shoprite, Mr. Price, and Jet, Wood inn, Hisense, Bata to mention but a few. Stores offer a wide range of products and services including groceries, electronics, clothing and textiles, food, and entertainment.

Students can take a break and enjoy meals at KFC, Bacelos, Chicken Inn, and the Vida e Café. Students do not have to carry a lot of cash from home as there are several financial institutions where they can simply get their cash and shop hustle-free.

These include Stanbic Bank, Universal Merchant Bank, First National Bank, and the Yasone Forex Bureau if there be a need to convert forex. I students want to take a weekend d detour or an after shopping detour there are entertainment places like the Vulkano Casino, the Game centre, and the 9D Virtual Movie theatres.

    University of Cape Coast

    University of Cape Coast is a public research university in Ghana with over 210 programmes to choose from. The university is located in the city of Accra. It was established in the year 1962 and is one of the fundamental parts of education in Ghana.

    Garden City University College (GCUC)

    The Garden City University College is one of the private universities in Ghana. It is located at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. It was established in 2001. as the College of Information Technology and Management Systems. The college was converted into the Garden City University College in 2004.     Presbyterian University College

    The Presbyterian University, Ghana is a partially private & public university with multi- campuses and its headquarters located at Abetifi-Kwahu in the Eastern Region of Ghana.     University for Development Studies

    The University for Development Studies (UDS) is Ghana’s first public University in the North. The pedagogical philosophy of UDS is said to have been borne out of a new thinking in higher education emphasizing the need for universities as teaching and research institutions to play more active role in addressing societal problems (especially rural areas) for speedy development.     All Nations University

    Koforidua, also popularly known as K-dua or Koftown and now Kofcity, is a city and the capital of Eastern Region in southern Ghana. Koforidua was founded in 1875 by migrants from Ashanti. It is also called New Juaben.

    Methodist University Ghana
