Gambia High School Application Requirements

Find High Schools

Required documentation for entry into Ghanaian secondary schools varies depending on the school. There are public and private schools and these have varying requirements. Some of them are as follows:

  • application form with two passport photos of your child
  • copy of the child’s birth certificate or passport
  • testimonial from the last school attended
  • medical report of the child
  • the child’s last term report card, or transcript
  • an Application and testing fee (non-refundable)
  • Reference letter from the previous school
  • The transfer letter from a previous school
  • Health clearance
  • A Copy of the current year school report (if applicable)
  • Transcripts for GCE O/LEVEL / IGCSE results (6th Form applicants)
  • Students Transfer form or School Leaving Certificate (6th Form applicants)
  • parent’s passport/ national identity card copies
  • Proof of scholarship if available
  • Medical Reports
  • National identity document for students above 16
  • a clearance letter from the previous school (if transferring)
  • a transfer letter from the previous school (transferring students)
  • Proof of Residence in Ghana

    University of Cape Coast

    University of Cape Coast is a public research university in Ghana with over 210 programmes to choose from. The university is located in the city of Accra. It was established in the year 1962 and is one of the fundamental parts of education in Ghana.

    The Garden City University College is one of the private universities in Ghana. It is located at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. It was established in 2001. as the College of Information Technology and Management Systems. The college was converted into the Garden City University College in 2004.     The Presbyterian University, Ghana is a partially private & public university with multi- campuses and its headquarters located at Abetifi-Kwahu in the Eastern Region of Ghana.     University for Development Studies

    The University for Development Studies (UDS) is Ghana’s first public University in the North. The pedagogical philosophy of UDS is said to have been borne out of a new thinking in higher education emphasizing the need for universities as teaching and research institutions to play more active role in addressing societal problems (especially rural areas) for speedy development.     All Nations University

    Koforidua, also popularly known as K-dua or Koftown and now Kofcity, is a city and the capital of Eastern Region in southern Ghana. Koforidua was founded in 1875 by migrants from Ashanti. It is also called New Juaben.
