Gabon Visa Requirements for international students

Travelers to Gabon must ensure that they apply for a visa before they travel to Gabon or upon arrival in Gabon. Information about visa application or application for a visa can be obtained at the Gabonese consulate or embassy.

Travelers need to check with the embassy before they travel to be up to date with any changes in requirements.

Gabon student visa

To be eligible for or to apply for a Gabon Visa the following are a prerequisite.

  • A valid passport for 6 months before the date of arrival.
  • Vaccination against malaria, hepatitis and B, AND Tetanus.
  • copies of travel itinerary or a round trip ticket or proof of purchase
  • 3 properly filled out application forms with signature
  • 3 passport size photographs which are recent.
  • International vaccination certificates for Yellow fever.
  • Proof of ability to self-support during your stay in Gabon.
  • Proof of acceptance into university in Gabon.
  • Personal Contact details, and contact person details.

The following countries are exempt from requiring a visa to travel to Gabon: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritius, Morocco, South Africa, and Tunisia.

Note: Visa application may be accepted or denied by the Gabonese authorities.
