Student life at universities in French Polynesia provides support services, extra-curricular activities, a healthy student environment, and a blend of learning opportunities that promote students’ intellectual growth, physical and personal development. The University provides a nurturing, supportive environment to enable students to safely explore their interests and to find their own feet.

The International Relations Department can assist foreign students' life by educating and assisting study abroad, foreign students, and exchange students, assisting them to develop international activities, welcoming students and foreign scholars, and facilitating stay programs and welcoming activities. They also assist by managing financial aid for students, grants, and also to foster relations with other universities and institutions.

Students Residence

Residence Halls are available for students at the university French Polynesia, designed to create a secure and pleasant living and learning community. There are 3 different student residences at the University of French Polynesia namely the Student Accommodation Centre (CHE) which has 114 studios and accommodate 2 people each, the University Campus with 72 singles rooms, and the International Residence which offers only 12 places for foreigners the this is an integral part of the students’ residential experience where intellectual stimulation continues and students study either alone or in groups.

Facilities for Students

The University Of French Polynesia is equipped with modern-day facilities designed to suit the needs of students. There are spacious classrooms and modern library facilities and computer labs and science laboratories to create the environment students need to succeed academically and to develop life skills.

Other available facilities include a student cafeteria where the students can have their meals, a sports hall for various indoor sports, various sports fields, and a climbing wall to mention but a few.

Such facilities are meant to enhance student life and encourage student participation in various areas.

Sports

Students can keep their minds and bodies fit by partaking in several sporting activities.  The university takes part in some competitions with other universities and students have a chance to showcase their sporting talents.

Social Clubs

Students in French Polynesia can join a social club to experience life on campus. Clubs that students can join include drama clubs, chess clubs, debate clubs, or cheer clubs among others. Groups can provide a better learning experience and allow students to fit in well.

Night clubs, movies, and going out

University life cannot be complete without going out for a night of fun with friends. Students take time to visit some of Myanmar’s premier bars for a drink and to dance and enjoy their free time, or a quiet cozy time at a restaurant. It allows them to mingle with the locals and learn a thing or two about Myanmar.
