Scholarships to study in France
Interestingly, studying in France has its perks as there are many scholarship availabilities for international students. Different universities in France offer different in-bound and private scholarship grants for students at different levels from bachelor to Ph.D.
There are also government-funded scholarships and financial grants for students' tuition and research purposes. Some scholarships in France for foreign students include;
Eiffel Excellence Scholarships:
This scheme was structured by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the aim of attracting a good crop of high performing and very talented international understudies to pursue graduate and postgraduate degrees in any French higher institutions.
The scholarship awards graduate and postgraduate students pursuing a degree in these 4 subject areas; Economics and Management, Law, Sciences, and Engineering.
The scholarship covers a monthly academic fund of around €1,000 to €1,400 with a monthly stipend of €150 towards their living expenses.
The Eiffel scholarship also handles travel costs, social security, and social activities while studying in France.
Emily Boutmy Scholarship:
This scholarship offers international students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs at Sciences Po in France. The scholarship aims to reward excellent foreign students from countries not in the EU currently studying or planning to enroll at the university.
The scholarship provides funding of €5,000 to €10,000 for postgraduate studies and €3,00 to €12,300 for undergraduate studies.
INSEAD Scholarships:
This scholarship is reserved for foreign students pursuing MBA degrees in French universities. Although the scholarship is highly competitive, they offer to fund several students who have financial challenges or have suffered from an economic crisis in their home country.
Students who also have excellent academic standing or exhibit strong leadership qualities are highly eligible and strongly considered. The scheme is valued at $5,000 to $25,000.
International Scholarships at École Normale Supérieure:
The university invites and selects around 30 foreign students who demonstrate a high-level academic standing in the field of Science or Humanities.
These students pursue bachelor programs at the university and receive €1,000 every month for the duration of their programs.
Presently, more than 10% of the international student population at ENS have received this scholarship
International Graduate Scholarships at the Grenoble Institute of Technology:
This institute developed a funding scheme to support its growing international student population. The scholarship rewards foreign students pursuing a master's degree program at the university. The scheme is valued at €5,000 for every academic semester.
