Application Requirements for Finland Universities

It should be noted that different universities have different requirements depending on the preferred program of study. There are still some general essentials that have been determined to be very important towards securing admission in Finland.
Bachelors requirements:
- Provide senior secondary school leaving results and certificate
- Every applicant is expected to take an entrance exam or interview organized by the department
- For students that English is not their first language, they may need to show their English knowledge through exams like IELTS and TOEFL both of which are commonly accepted in Finland.
Masters requirements:
- University degree/diploma or it’s alternative
- University transcripts showing academic performance in the last two years.
Further entrance requirements are determined by the school and some are specific to the applicants country of origin.
University Application Deadline in Finland
- All undergraduate admissions and applications are done in the month of January.
- All graduate admissions and applications are done between the end of November and the beginning of December or throughout the month of January.
