On the other hand, off campus accommodation (within range of the university) with similar features is available, with prices depending on the specific need of the student. Costs also include water and electricity bills.
That said, students are often encouraged to stay on campus for at least a year as they find their way around and are hence able to find help from university staff at any time.
In case of assistance to acquire off campus accommodation, NUST does assist it's students however certain TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY.
Students residing off-campus can transit to the university though commuting or walking through depending on the distance they are from the university. There are boarding areas designated for students which offer relatively lower charges compared to common transport.
Transport is never a problem before 1200hrs of which afterwards to board the charges hick so to discourage students from travelling during night hours. On special occasions students are provided with free transport by the university particularly on academic duties.
Lately there is government transport provision that sees to it that students transit with fairly lower prices. In fewer of cases students living within less pronounced distances ride on cycles to get to campus which is quite convenient in view of cost and time.
