The country of the Pharaohs which has so many wonders and mysteries. The Arab Republic of Egypt has always attracted travelers, scientists, and students. This country is worth discovering if you want to know how it is to live in Egypt like a native.

For instance, the country has many good colleges and universities where you can gain Muslim-oriented knowledge. Private educational institutions offer Christian-related subjects and ways of teaching, although the teacher’s salary is really low here.

We will outline briefly how much money an average Egyptian needs to cover these and the other basic expenses.

Restaurants

Unquestionably, everyone who visited Egypt will say that this is a country of thousands of spices, tea varieties, and fruits. What are they beyond the border of luxury spots and coastal storefronts? The answer is yes, and Egyptian cuisine is full of seafood, meat, salads, and even roasted pigeons. Despite low prices, the meals are tantalizing, delicious, and well cooked.

Markets

The pyramids in Egypt are famous, beyond a shadow of a doubt. But there is something even more renowned than that the great bazaars and markets of Egypt. Go there for all the healthy foods and treats in the world, because the prices, as well as the odors, are awesome indeed.

Sports and leisure

Besides football, locals like playing basketball, volleyball, and squash. You can go fishing or do athletics, or do as many water sports as you can. Fitness clubs and tennis courts are available to any visitor for a reasonable price of $22.00 per month (adult) and $6.00 per hour on weekend accordingly.

Rent per month

We have already discussed the monthly bills, and now it is time to talk about rental prices. A one-bedroom apartment in the center of big cities here will cost about $180. At the same time, similar accommodation far from the downtown will be only $98 and you can save a little if you don’t need to spend much on transportation.

Health Care

Cost is average for consulting a doctor in a public institution that will cost about $50USD and for a private doctor can vary between $70 to $150USD depending on the city. There are student medical aids that are accepted by various institutions in Egypt. It is advised to check with your offer letter on what procedures need to be followed on health insurance!
