(Bachelor's, Master's & PhD)

Few countries in Africa come close to the beauty and wonderful landmarks that Djibouti gives. An incredible nation with many amazing cities, Djibouti combines a historical view of Africa along with a modern glimpse into African nightlife that includes its nightclubs and pubs.

You have a bit to enjoy on your nights if you are an adventurous person with definite certainty!

Several cities in the country provide local citizens and visitors with an enjoyable time. Two of the most popular cities are in Obock and Yoboki. The cities in Djibouti have some advantages over cities in other African countries when it comes to nightlife.

One of the advantages is that many of the popular cities in Djibouti are near a major port and army base, which results in a lot of places that are geared towards providing a fun time for students and military personnel.

Buzzing nightclubs on the ground floor of the eponymous three-star hotel in the city of Djibouti, the party runs nonstop, even at midnight on a Mondays. A must-visit spot in the country.

On the dance floor, men and women, old and young, twirl happily all night long to Nigerian and French pop tunes. The regulars are the locals, Ethiopians, Americans and from across Europe on occasion, there are visitors with Arabic and Hispanic roots.

A country is a place of bars and nightclubs and ladies of the night. The bars are well furnished and will provide you with a vintage style branding holding no less to their names. The most popular nightclub is Menelik.

It’s nice and the music is great. Management is committed to make the bar the best here. It is one of the safest bars here but everyone should take his precaution. Drinks are 1000 FDJ about USD 6.50 and after 2 drinks you get one free generally.

In summary, these are the top spots not to miss in the country;

  • Club Hermes. The underground club, low key. Good security at the door. 1,000 Djiboutian francs per beer.
  • La Galette. An underground club. 1,000 Franc for beer, 1,500 Franc for mixed drinks, and 1,000 Francs for sheesha (hookah).
  • La Oasis. Nice place with a second, smaller bar upstairs.
  • Le Maries. Nice place with a dancefloor in the front alongside a bar. In the back are some couches for sitting and smoking Sheesha smoking (1,000 francs to participate).
  • Golden Club. 1,000 Franc for a beer, a pool for 500 Francs, and a dancefloor. Sheesha in Djibouti for 1,000 francs
