Universities in the Democratic Republic of Congo for international students

 Founded in 1954 under the name Lovanium University by the Catholic University of Louvain in collaboration with the Belgian Government, it became, through the reforms of 1971 and 1981, respectively the National University of Zaire (UNAZA), Kinshasa Campus and the University of Kinshasa.

American University of Kinshasa (AUK) is a Tuition-Free, Approved, American-Style, and 100 % Online University. The main objective of AUK is to work towards equalizing or democratizing the world access to quality higher education so as to advance humanity itself. Increasing access to higher education in the world has the potential to improve and save lives. The ultimate goal is to train students to bring answers to real life problems. There is a humanitarian imperative to bring higher education classroom to life for a very large segment of the world population excluded for various causes including limited financial resources, lack of a local university programs in the area or political instability.

The Protestant University in Congo (UPC) is a Protestant university teaching institution. It was created in 1959 on the initiative of the Protestant Church in Congo (Church of Christ in Congo) and benefits from civil personality. The Protestant University in Congo provides teaching in accordance with the programs recognized by the Ministry of Higher and University Education. However, the UPC has added a few courses of an ethical and theological nature. As such, it confers academic degrees (graduated, licensed, doctor).

The objective of the Protestant University in Congo is to provide higher level education in order to train design executives, a national elite capable of responding to the needs of society and the Church. Aware of the fact that the crisis in our country is essentially of a moral order, the Protestant University in Congo places particular emphasis on the dimension of Christian ethics in order to produce competent scientific operators, inspired by the fear of God and ready to serve the Community in faith and truth.

With the objective of providing a holistic quality education, the Adventist University of Goma (UAGO) welcomes anyone wishing to build their future in the various faculties organized.The mission of UAGO is to provide a holistic education that enables students to acquire relevant knowledge and practical skills based on the Biblical worldview to meet local and international needs. The University of Goma is a public university in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The university was estblished in 1993 and it is located in the city of Goma, near Lake Kivu in the east of the country.

Shalom University of Bunia, also known as USB, is a private Christian university located in the city of Bunia, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. With an enrolment of over 1100 students for the 2019–2020 academic year, it is one of the largest universities in the city of Bunia, along with Bunia University.

The ULK is the first secular Private University to emerge in the DRC. It was created in place of the University Institute of Law and Economics (IUDSE) from which it actually originated. It is a private Institution of public utility called to organize university education and to promote high-level scientific research programs. The training provided at the ULK is therefore aimed at anyone, young or adult, of any social condition, without distinction of race, tribe, religion, ideology or nationality, concerned with deepening or perfecting their knowledge in the fields of teaching provided at the university.
