Pre-primary Education is typically designed for children from 3 years of age to 5 years. Upon completion of this stage, the students will be ready for primary school. At pre-schools, children are introduced to letter, numbers, rhymes, alphabetical and mathematical concepts, and encouraged to explore their surrounding environment. Pre-primary education in Comoros lasts for 2 years, from the age of 3 to around 5 years. This is meant to prepare students for primary education and mainstream education in general.
