Apartment Rentals in the Central African Republic differ depending on the location. A one-room apartment in Bangui ranges from XAF 120 000 or an equivalent of US$126 per month. Hotel rental ranges from about $52 per night. Other accommodation options include motels, homestays, and hostels.

Shopping and Groceries

There are several shops where travelers can shop in the Central African Republic. Some of the shopping malls and individual shops include:

Transport –getting around in the Central African Republic can be quite challenging. One would need to have locals close by who knows the roads and routes that are safest and quickest. It is also good to have some knowledge on which modes of transport are the best to use to travel intercity or within the different regions.

Rental Cars- there are several car hire options available in the Central African Republic that are affordable and efficient. Travelers can choose between chauffeur driven cars or self-drive.

Buses- bus service is a bit limited in the Central African Republic. Busses are relatively affordable and comfortable over long distances but most times unreliable.

Minibusses- minibusses are available in the Central African Republic but mostly serve towns and major urban centers

Taxis- taxis can be used over short or long distances and are available in Bangui and most urban areas. They are affordable and can charge a standard price per seat. Most of the taxis are not metered and prices have to be negotiated with the drive, however, some are shared taxis charge a flat rate.

Air transport- air transport is available sometimes and operates mostly on charter. It is very limited.
