Even professional divers will find plenty of interesting underwater gems. Diving among the hundreds of wrecks, new and old, can be exceptionally exciting, especially given the possibility of finding sunken treasure.

The country offers a rich landscape more than just sand and shore. The tropical forests and mountains provide a beautiful reprieve from the heat and sun on the coast. Many of the forest areas are protected and offer a way to see local flora and fauna.

Popular attractions are the Welchman Hall Gully and the Flower Forest. The nation is a wonder known across all the Caribbean and offers visitors with an unending list of experiences!.

Foreigners stay busy with the numerous events and festivals that take place on Barbados throughout the year. Festivals tend to be blissful and fun, showcasing the best of Caribbean culture.

Sporting events are also common here, from marathons, surfing championships, and horse racing to regattas. You can take part or simply watch world-class athletes compete. All festivals give foreigners a chance to taste the great local cuisine and signature rum.

Getting to this beautiful island paradise is done via air or cruise ship. Barbados is a popular cruise ship destination and during the peak summer season, numerous cruise ships dock at Bridgetown.

Options for touring the island include hiring a taxi or driving. The island country is relatively small, so renting a car is easy, even if some of the roads are not up to international standards.

North Americans will have to drive on the ‘wrong’ side of the road, so if this seems scaring, then simply hire a taxi with a local driver for the day and don’t forget to haggle the rates. Great Barbados awaits your visit!!

Barbados is an island nation in Lesser Antilles, in the Caribbean region around North America. Education in this island is based on the British culture and norms. The government spends 6.7% of its GDP on education.

As Barbados is located between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, so it has economic and social structure that helps to fulfill the growth and development of the island.

It has good social stability and flourishing economy. Its excellent environment with powdery sand, exotic wildlife, pleasing environment, high living style, globally-recognized degree and beautiful land scenery make it a perfect destination for education.

Barbados has a 100% rate of literacy also holding huge collection of academics, sportsmen, musicians etc. the country also offers experience of rich culture and a friendly environment.

InBarbados has an astoundingly high ‘quality of life’ rating for a developing country. The economy, formerly a sugar monoculture, was fortressed over three decades to achieve a balance of growth and social development, and diversified into three main sectors: services, light industry and sugar.

An offshore financial services sector, launched in 1985, has become the country’s second largest source of foreign exchange after tourism.

Despite its economic success, Barbados experienced little growth in the 1980s and a recession in the early 1990s, when sugar and tourism earnings slumped. It had to call on the International Monetary Fund for economic adjustment support and the government introduced economic austerity measures.

By 1993 the economy was recovering and it continued to develop well throughout the 1990s, driven by tourism and construction. Action against drug-trafficking since the 1990s has made security and defense a significant item of expenditure.

BWith a small and open economy Barbados lacks scope for further diversification and remains vulnerable to economic downturn in its trade allies. After 2000 the economy went into recession due to the downturn in the USA and Europe and resulting falls in tourist trends.

It picked up in 2003 and grew steadily until 2008 when the world economic downturn again caused a sharp fall in tourism and pushed the economy into reverse.
