Universities in Azerbaijan for international students

Ada University is a public university that was founded in the year 2006 as a diplomatic academy and was upgraded to a university in 2014. The university was established to train specialist for a diplomatic career, but it has since expanded its academic courses.

Western Caspian University is a private educational institution based in Baku, Azerbaijan. It was established in 1991 and was one of the first private universities in the country. Western Caspian University has a well-established reputation in the academic sector and provides a good range of study programs for dedicated and goal-oriented students.

Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University is a public university that was established in 1887 as a small technical school in the capital. The university has developed into a quality institution which is considered one of the best universities in the country. Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University has a lot of opportunities for its students with multiple partnerships all over the world.

In 1991, Khazar University was established  and was the first private university in the city. Khazar University is one of the few universities which uses English as the language of instruction. The importance of nourishing the younger generation of teachers has been prioritized by the university since its foundation.

Baku State University; is a public university located in Baku, Azerbaijan and was established as one of the oldest universities in the country. Established in 1919 by the Parliament of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the University started with a limited number of faculties with an initial enrolment of, 1094.

Ganja State University is a public university located in the city of Ganja in western end of the country. The university was founded  in 1938 and has moved from enrolling 240 students in its initial year to enrolling 6000 students in the past year.

Baku Music Academy is a music school  that was established in 1920. The university was established to cater for the classical music scene which was bubbling in the country at the time of its establishment. Baku Music Academy enrols a small amount of students every year.

Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University is a university that was established in 2006 and has quickly established itself as one of the top 20 institutes in the country. The university is located in the city of Baku and is a small university with over 2000 students enroled.

Baku Slavic University is a public university that was founded in 1946 and transformed into its current version in 2000 and is located in Baku, Azerbaijan. The university specialises in the study of Slavic and Germanic languages. Baku Slavic University is a social sciences university. 

Azerbaijan State Economic University was founded in the year 1930 as a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban environment of Absheron in the metropolis of Baku. The university also has branch campuses in Zagatala and Derbent in Russia. UNEC as it is informally known is officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan) as a large co-educational Azerbaijani higher education institution.
