Airports in Angola

Angola has several airports. It uses a system of provincial airports that cater for flights in the respective provinces.

  • Quatro de Fevereiro Airport-this is the main airport in Angola and is located in Luanda. The name means 4 February. The airport has 2 paved runways and is one of the busiest airports in Angola. It is home to Fly Angola and TAAG Angola airlines.
  • Soyo Airport-it is an airport serving Soyo in Zaire province. It is a public airport operated and administered by the government. The main airline using the airport is TAAG Angola Airlines.
  • Mbanza Congo Airport-it is an airport located in and serving Mbanza Congo in Zaire province. It is also a public airport operated and administered by the government of Angola.
  • Catumbela Airport-it is an airport located in Catumbela in Benguela province. The airport has two boarding bridges, a 3700m runway, 18 migration counters, and 16 counters for check-in. It also offers international class executive facilities, restaurants, and a bar.
  • Ondjiva Pereira Airport-is an airport located in and serving Ondjiva located in the Cunene province. It is a pubic airport also run and administered by the government. The main airlines at the airport are SonAir and TAAG Angola Airlines.
  • Albano Machado Airport – is an airport located in Huambo province. The airport was formerly known as the Nova Lisboa Airport.
  • Menongue Airport- it is an airport serving Menongue, a town in Cuando Cubango province. It is a public airport operated by the government. TAAG Angola Airlines is the main airline.
  • Welwitschia Mirabilis International Airport- it is a public airport serving Mocamedes the capital of Namibe Province.
