Primary education in Angola is compulsory and free for four years for students between the ages of 6 and 11 years. General basic education in Angola consists of eight years, which is divided into three levels. Level one is compulsory and consists of four grades and levels two and three consists of two grades each. primary education is also known as Ensino Primario, which encompasses grades 1 to 6.
