Slovenia has a very low cost of living across different aspects from accommodation to feeding and entertainment. The cost of living in the capital Ljubljana ranks 217th out of 434 cities in the world. The average cost of living in Slovenia is about 50% lower than the cost in countries like the USA and Canada and around 43% lower in countries like Australia and the United Kingdom. The average cost of accommodation in Slovenia would range from €150 to €200 a month and the amount spent on travel is around €20 to €25.

One advantage in Slovenia for students is that the government has provided subsidized prices for food and beverages anywhere in the country. All students end up getting anywhere between 40% to 100% discounts on many food items across many restaurants and eateries in the country.
A single person’s monthly cost is around €650 to €750 without accommodation.
