This off-campus option is good for students that are seeking a more independent lifestyle. Renting off campus can be a costly option but it is worth considering if one is not fond of sharing space with a larger number of people.
Rental prices vary according to location, size, and the services available. These come in the form of apartments in town, houses, and flats. It is important to find accommodation as close to the campus as possible. This will reduce transport costs amongst other expenses that students might incur due to leaving further away from the campus.
Private accommodation rates vary from US$150 to US$500 monthly. The students need to find a place according to their budget or share accommodation to ease the strain of renting a bigger space.

On-Campus Accommodation
This option is usually on a shared basis, with 2 students sharing. International students are given first preference from local students to secure on-campus residence.
On-campus accommodation varies with universities according to the facilities offered. Some offer hostel types of accommodation whilst other universities offer apartments. However, they are free to look for other alternatives if they deem necessary.
The on-campus residence provides services such as catering, meaning students do not need to worry about utilities and cooking especially during the examination period.
Campus facilities such as the library, gym, and computer center are easily accessible when living on-campus residence. These facilities do not offer accommodation for married couples therefore students moving to with their spouse need to find alternative accommodation off-campus.
