Several accommodation options are available for students in Vietnam. Students can choose which option is more convenient for them or whichever is more affordable.

Hotels- hotels provide the most luxuriest of saccommodations but are very expensive in terms of long stays. They  however are very convenient for short stays while students seek alternative accommodations. There are many hotels in Vietnam, all suiting the visitors various financial statuses, from 2 star hotels to world class 5-star hotels.

Apartments– apartments in MVietnam come furnished with beds, wardrobe, couch, a fllatscreen TV, and a kitchenette. Student Residence/ dormitories- the Universities offer accommodation to all international students in their first year while they acclimatize with the country. There are many university dorms located around the country. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has a dormitory located downtown in th city which is only about 1 km away from the University, and 5 km away from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, 3km away from main train station..

The dormitory offers international students various types of accommodations while providing comfort and modern technology.

  • It has 20 rooms with 43 square meters each room for foreign students only and each room can fit 4 students.
  • Room features include private bathroom, clothes drying place, refrigerator, hot or cold water, 4 beds, 4 safe cases, 4 computer tables with bookcases, 4 iron chairs, shoe cabinet and a big table, wireless internet connection, and a community room with cable television.
  • 6 elevators, 5 staircases, fire prevention system, automatic fire alarms, and emergency exits, and basement parking.
  • Modern library including 2 book stores, with 100 seats and 10 computers.
  • There is 1 computer lab containing 140 computers with high speed internet access that help students to research.
  • Cafeteria with 300 square meters, community room, infirmary, and an ATM.
  • the dormitory is located in a very ideal place that students can easily reach bus stop, airport, train stations, shopping center and other places of convenience.
  • There are also a lot of busses in this area, so students do not pay much in transport costs.

Dormitory fee- is about 100 USD per person per month

Homestays- Vietnamese homestay is the best way to save money and also get to know the place through the locals. There are various homestays in vietnam where you can feel at home and be free to use the many facilities.

The hosts can share their meals and other amenities in their home with the student as agreed. Vietnamese homestays are well organised and regulated, so safety and standards of comfort and hygiene are typically high.

Vietnam’s ethnic groups are unique and often very different to the majority Kinh Vietnamese. Staying with a host family of any ethnicity gives you an insight into their daily life

Shared Houses- students can find accommodation in shared houses in vietnamm. These come with comfortable beds, air conditioning, hot showers, solar hot showers, high speed wifi, washer and dryer.

Some have a bar area to relax, meet other guests and sometimes a few locals, share a drink or party. After a long days adventure, relax in the large cold or hot tub.
