There is only one airport in Timor Leste. Details are as follows:

Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport

This is an international airport located in the capital city Dili. It was formerly known as Comoro International Airport. Its airport was renamed after Nicolau dos Reis Lobato, a national hero in Timor Leste.

The airport serves several airlines including Airnorth flying to Darwin, Air Timor operated by Druk Air traveling to Singapore, Air Timor operated by TransNusa and flying to Kupang, Citilink flying to Denpasar or Bali, NAM Air flying to Denpasar and Bali, Sriwijaya Air flying (Denpasar, Bali, Jakarta, Soekarno, Hatta, Surabaya), and TransNusa flying to Kupang. It has an asphalt runway of 2 100metres.

Oecusse International Airport or the Rota do Sandalo International Airport

It is an international airport located in the village of Palaba. The new airport was inaugurated on 18 June 2019 next to the original landing strip.

The new airport complies with the international standards in terms of safety, security, and comfort of usage and is designed to handle the unrestricted operation of Airbus A320 or Boeing B737-800 aircraft, day and night.

The airport has facilities for the processing of cargo and lives animals, including quarantine services. It has a runway of 2000 meters, a parking area with a capacity for seven aircraft of various types simultaneously.

It can process more than 500 passengers per hour between departures and arrivals when in full operation. It has automatic emergency power generators, modern firefighting equipment, and ground support equipment for aircraft support, an automatic meteorological information system, and a control tower with modern and complete communication systems, to mention but a few.

Suai Airport

It is a public airport also known as Commander in Chief of Falintil Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão International Airport. It is located 4 km east of Suai, in Cova Lima Municipality, in East Timor.it was officially inaugurated in June 2017, after the upgrading of the former airport. The new facilities include a 1,500m runway, a terminal building, a control tower, a fire station, a meteorological station, and a helipad.
