Annually, over 2,700 foreign students from over 140 nations globally enroll in different programs and courses at De Montfort University. The university continues to accept interested foreign candidates looking for a place in the university.
In collaboration with RocApply, the application process at DMU has now been simplified. Different countries and courses have their entry requirements, however, the general requirements for admission at DMU follow these easy steps.
English Language Requirements
The university generally requires an IELTS score of 6.0 for the majority of its programs or some literature-based courses might need a minimum IELTS score of 6.5. The English language requirement can be waived off if the student has secured above-average grades (at least 65%) in the English Language in their high school finals or grade 12 examinations or its equivalent.
Admission Decisions
Successful applicants who have been accepted will receive either a conditional or unconditional letter of offer depending on whether they meet all the requirements or if a few more documents must be provided.
You are probably already thinking of pursuing a degree and you are wondering how much it will cost and how you will pay for it. When you attend university there are two types of costs that you need to think about, they are Tuition Fees and Living or Maintenance Costs.
The Tuition Fee is paid to the university for academic training and all things educational, while maintenance includes rent, feeding, travel, entertainment, books, and so on.

Please note that the tuition fee does not have to be paid at once, students can spread payments into installments all through an academic year. The university understands that going to university is costly, that is why there is an option to apply for student loans.
There are two types of student loans, there is tuition fee loans and maintenance loans. If you are a UK or EU student then you can apply for tuition fee loans and UK students can also apply for maintenance loans to cover their living expenses.
Students can benefit from the tuition fee loan and receive upwards of £9,250 for an academic year towards their tuition at DMU.

De Montfort University, Leicester is a 150-year-old institution of higher education based in Leicester, a city in the heart of England which is only an hour away from Central London. There are two intakes in an academic year; one in September and the other in January. For September intakes, DMU has all undergraduate and postgraduate courses available from the above-listed faculties, and for January intake, DMU only has postgraduate courses in Business, Engineering, and Computing. All engineering programs at DMU are one plus one where the students come into the university and study their engineering courses for one year followed by which there is a one-year paid internship for the student in the UK.
This internship, however, is optional. All the courses are IIET certified (International Institute for Engineering and Technology). The university also offers an MBA Global which is quite a popular program amongst international students.
The MBA Global is a 16-month program, during which the student will be studying along with executive company projects at different leading companies and establishments in the UK.
DMU also offers a number of courses that are related to Arts and Design, and they also provide a one-year internship along with these programs.
The most common Arts and Design programs at DMU specifically are Architecture, and there are three different sorts of architectural programs in design, sustainable architecture, and the most famous one M.Arch (Masters in Architecture). It is ARIBA and ARB accredited program where students can become certified architects. T
he university also has a good number of facilities, the campus has been newly developed with a large budget of £136 million into rebranding the school environment making it look more modern and it has all facilities relating to Technology and Arts, and Design.

DMU provided campus accommodation for its students with both university-run and private accommodation on campus. There are 13 halls of residence surrounding the campus with a capacity to accommodate more than 3,000 students on campus.
The dormitory rooms are single or double beds and are very comfortable and well equipped. The rooms come with en-suite bathrooms or shared bathrooms in some cases. All campus residences have free internet access, common or game rooms, and relaxation areas for male and female students.
