One great thing about the Czech Republic is the low tuition fees that foreign students benefit from. With high educational quality, the cost of learning in the country is very affordable, tuition starts as low as $2,000 up to $15,000 per academic year depending on the program or the university. In the same way, there is also a very substantial amount of scholarships and grants for international students offered by universities or the government and even private organizations both in and outside the country.

Government Funding

The Czech government offers tuition scholarships for international students at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels. The scholarship scheme awards full-tuition scholarships for foreign students in Czech public institutions, with a high number of successful awardees coming from developing countries around the globe.

The government awards this scholarship to study programs in both Czech and English language and bachelor, masters and doctoral courses that would require a one-year foundational language course are also covered as part of the total length of study. The scheme covers the entire finance for the complete duration of the study with several benefits.

Visegrad Funding/Scholarship

This scholarship scheme is provided by the International Visegrad Fund, an initiative that was put together by the founding countries of the Visegrad group in central Europe. The scholarship scheme awards eligible foreign students from a list of participating countries for masters or Ph.D. programs only. And the cost of education for two academic years or four semesters is completely handled by the organization and an early start is advised because of how competitive the scholarship has now become.

Scholarships by Czech universities

Several universities have special scholarships and grants set aside to assist foreign students within their campus. The scholarship is open for both undergraduate and postgraduate students who demonstrate exceptional skills in their academics or students who represent the university favorably in sports and other competitions.
