More foreign students opt for this option because it affords them the privacy and convenience that some dormitories do not provide. These days two or more students combine resources and rent 1 bedroom to 3 bedroom apartments and share all the costs equally.
Apartments in Slovakia come fully furnished with refrigerators, microwave, pieces of furniture, beds, TV set, kitchen, and kitchen utensils, washing machine, dishwasher, A/C, and much more. The rent price depends majorly on the location and personal preferences or budget. Utility bills such as electricity, heating, and water are not included in the rent and must be paid separately every month.
Hotels
Hotels are best for short-term arrangements for new students who just arrive in the country, there is a long list of hotel types that serve as an initial lodging point for foreign students or a place to stay for visitors who accompany these students e.g parents, wards, etc. It is advisable to find the one that is closest to the university, to make movement very easy especially for a first-timer.
