Citizens from Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, are exempt from a visa to Congo Brazzaville. Citizens from all other countries can obtain a visa at their point of entry, or the embassy and consulate. Passengers in transit through Congo Brazzaville are also exempt from needing a visa. Recipients of an official invitation letter also do not need a visa to travel to Congo Brazzaville.

To be eligible for or to apply for a Congo Brazzaville Visa the following are a prerequisite.
- A valid passport, valid for 6 months, with at least a blank page
- Proof of approved accommodation booking
- copies of the travel itinerary
- Proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay
- properly completed application forms with signature and all details
- 3 recently taken passport size photographs.
- International yellow fever vaccination certificates.
- Hepatitis A and B, typhoid, malaria, and Rabies Vaccinations.
- Letter of invitation, for study and business visa.
- Proof of acceptance into university in Congo Brazzaville.
- Contact details, and next of kin details or those of contact person in Congo Brazzaville.
