Stage 2 of enrollment for Bachelor and Master’s degree studies

After receiving information about admission to studies, the following original documents should be submitted to the Student Mobility Office of the Lodz University of Technology (90-539 Łódź, ul. Żwirki 36). Documents can be delivered in person or by mail.

List of required documents during registration:

  • A completed and signed Application Form from the https://e-rekrutacja.p.lodz.pl/info/ portal,
  • A secondary school-leaving certificate or a high school diploma with a supplement (list of subjects and grades) with an Apostille or legalized in the country of issue.
  • First-cycle diploma entitling to undertake higher education with a transcript of grades bearing an Apostille or legalized in the country of issue.
  • Note: Remember that in the case of legalization, you must have the seal and signature of the Polish Consul in your home country.
  • Sworn translation of the diploma into Polish or English, if it is not in one of these languages,
  • Also, in the case of foreigners who are subject to the regulations on the notification and will have to nostrify their foreign diploma upon arrival in Poland, one should provide a certificate stating that the certificate/diploma entitles them to undertake higher education in the country in which it was issued ( regulations on nostrification do not apply to EU, EEA, OECD, Ukraine, China, and Belarus citizens)
  • Copy of a visa or residence card, or other document entitling to stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland (if it has already been issued),
  • Two 37x52 mm photos,
  • A medical certificate stating that there are no contraindications to undertake education in the chosen field and form of education, translated into Polish or English ( sample model ),
  • Confirmation of payment of the fee for the first semester of studies in the case of admission to studies on a paid basis,
  • Copy of health insurance valid in the territory of the Republic of Poland,
  • The signed 'Clause regarding the processing of personal data of candidates for studies, students of all degrees and participants of doctoral studies,

Tuition and Scholarships at Lodz University of Technology

The Lodz University of Technology is one of the leading and outstanding technical universities in Poland. It has 75 years of tradition and experience in education.

TUL is also a leading research institution with many awards and recognitions over its long history. The university is a public institution and international students pay an affordable amount in tuition.

The cost of learning at TUL varies between specializations and programs for bachelor's and master's levels of training.

For international students tuition fee ranges from PLN 2,500 to PLN 8,000 for English-taught programs. This is approximately $500 to $2,000 per academic semester.

Other students who are citizens of the EU are not required to pay tuition. We employ candidates to aim to be the best applicant and receive recognition for their accomplishments from the university, as the university reserves 20 spaces for different international students to study for free at TUL.

Lodz offers Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree, and Ph.D. degree study fields and a very solid exchange program scheme in the heart of Europe.

Also, the university opens up the opportunity for new students to apply for tuition scholarships during their second semester of studies.

The Interdisciplinary Doctoral School is a four-year-long innovative and personalized study

Advanced program in twelve disciplines within four scientific domains, that is taught entirely in English. Here there are no application or tuition fees, and successful candidates are all only 100% scholarship for the duration of their program.

Scholarships at TUL

Rector’s Scholarship

The second-year students of the first cycle or the first semester of the second cycle can apply for the rector’s scholarship for students of the Lodz University of Technology.

Only students who are admitted into the first year in the year of the entrance examination can receive this funding scheme for first-cycle freshmen, but they must meet the following conditions:

  • Winners of the International Olympic Games, or the winner or finalist of the Central Olympic Games designated in the legislation of the education system, or
  • As stated in the rules of the sport, the student must be a current medal winner in at least one sports competition and has won the title of the Polish champion in this sport.

The scholarship provided by the Rectorate to students can be awarded to students who have achieved outstanding academic achievements in the previous academic year and at least have achieved academic, artistic, or athletic achievements in national-level competitions.

Social Scholarships

Social scholarships can be provided to economically disadvantaged students of Łódź University of Technology, whose per capita monthly household income in 2019 does not exceed 1,043 zlotys (if the income status changes in 2020 and 2021, it is also included ). Under particularly reasonable circumstances, students or graduate/doctorate students can obtain increased social scholarships.

Disability Scholarships

Disability scholarships can be granted to students/doctoral students who have a disability certificate, a disability degree certificate, or a certificate mentioned in Art. 5 and art.

Article 62 of the Law on Vocational and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of Disabled Persons of August 27, 1997 (Law Journal, 2018 paragraphs 511, 1000 and 1076).

Scholarships are awarded according to the requirements of students/doctoral students. The amount of scholarships offered by the Łódź University of Technology for disabled persons depends on the degree of disability of the student/doctoral student. The scholarship amount is 350 to 450 Polish zloty.

The Lodz University of Technology academic site has 9 dormitories, and about 3,000 beds: 12% in single rooms, 75% in double rooms, 13% in triple rooms, and 100 places in higher-level guestrooms.

Lodz University of Technology has rooms for people with reduced mobility as well, making the campus an inclusive environment for all.

All student homes are connected to the Internet via a fiber-optic network, and some are also equipped with wireless Wi-Fi.
