Required documents for admission

For undergraduate:

Copy of high school certificate or diploma, authenticated, and eligible for admission in the country where it was obtained.

Copy of academic transcripts of results showing grades obtained in the final senior year of secondary studies.

Copy of language proficiency results proving the applicant’s knowledge of their proposed language of study (Polish or English)

Copy of international passport data page

Passport photograph (scanned) with detail such as white background and smart dressing.

Additional documentation might be required by the university for specific programs or departments, in that event, the applicant will be informed accordingly. Lastly, all documents must be translated into Polish or English if obtained in a different foreign language.

For graduates and post-graduates

Copy of bachelor's degree or diploma, authenticated, and eligible for admission in the country where it was obtained.

Tuition and Scholarships at AGH University of Science and Technology

AGH is a public and highly reputable higher institution of science and technology in Poland that has been in existence for more than a hundred years.

The university continues to soldier on over the years as one of Poland's leading universities for science and technology. As a government-owned institution of learning, AGH’s tuition fee is very affordable for local and international students alike.

Tuition costs vary between programs and are paid on a semester basis. Tuition also follows the line of instruction, as English-taught programs are different from Polish-taught programs, hence the fees are different.

Foreign students are allowed to pursue programs taught in Polish as long as they can prove sufficient levels of proficiency in Polish or they can complete a one-year language school before they begin their studies at the university.

Scholarships
We understand that pursuing a university degree can be expensive, that is why AGH has several scholarship schemes designed to assist international students in financing their education.

A scholarship is a financial aid provided to students and are either merit-based for excellent students in academics or extracurriculars, or need-based for students with economic challenges. Also, there are many specific scholarships that are given out according to many such student-specific factors.

The Gen. Anders Program

This scholarship is awarded to international students with polish ancestry, these are individuals with a foreign nationality but are of Polish descent.

Regardless of the country that they hail from, as long as they have proof of their Polish origin, they are eligible to receive tuition-free scholarships for full-time programs at the university.

Both bachelor's and master's degree candidates are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship body holds some further terms and requirements before the student is awarded finances, some of them include the age of the applicant if they are applying to masters programs.

The Stefan Banach Scholarship Program

This scholarship is a combined brainchild of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Agency for Academic Exchange, the scholarship was designed to support students from developing countries in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Balkans.

The scholarship rewards masters students enrolled in technical programs at the university and it covers the student’s academic tuition and a monthly stipend for the duration of their programs. T

he government of Poland continues to strengthen its international relations via different means and education is one of the leading channels today.

AGH-UST’s campus which is considered the largest in Poland cares for the comfort and safety of its students. There are 9,000 vacancies which guarantee accommodation for its students.
