Poland Visa Requirements
Poland is a member of the EU and the Schengen area and as such, they follow the same visa procedures as the other member countries.
RocApply will also assist you with all the necessary information about the procedures and documents required getting to acquire a Polish student visa.
Students that have been accepted to study a full-term program in Poland must obtain a student visa in order to be gain entry into the country.
Students from countries in the EU/EEA/Schengen Area do not need a visa to come to Poland, they also do not require a visa to live in Poland for a period of 90 days. However, they must register their status if they plan to stay and study for a full-term university program.
Students from other countries like the USA, Canada, Brazil, Georgia, Hong Kong, etc also do not need a visa to come to Poland for up to 90 days. However, they need a student visa/residence permit in order to study a full-time program at a Polish university.
What documents are required for a student visa?
- Poland visa application form signed and delivered along with three biometric photographs
- Original Passport or travel document with photocopies of the data page and back page
- Admission letter from the university, that RocApply would provide containing information about the student’s accommodation
- Motivation letter detailing the students' purpose of the study
- Proof of payment of the tuition provided by the university after the applicant has paid the required fees (usually one-year tuition fees).
- One way flight reservation
- Travel and medical insurance for one year
- Academic qualifications; which includes degrees, senior secondary school leaving certificate, diplomas and certifications (Authenticated by the governing body in the applicants home country)
- Proof of financial capability; which can be in the form of personal or a sponsor’s bank statements, followed with a notarized letter of sponsorship from the sponsor willing to finance the entire education.
All applications must be made and submitted to the embassy or the consular in the applicant's home country.
