There are plenty of scholarships available to assist students in their studies in the Northern Mariana Islands. , by private individuals. Students can apply for these scholarships to get assistance with their studies in terms of tuition and allowances.

Wellcome international masters fellowship

This is a fully-funded scholarship for master's studies at any university in the world studying public health. All masters' students are eligible to apply.  The scholarship is aimed at low-income to middle-income countries.

Benefits- 120 000 pounds including a salary, student stipend, fees, and research expenses

Eligibility- one must be a national of low-middle income countries, Niue included.

  • The proposed research must focus on a health priority in a low- middle-income country
  • Hold a clinical or non-clinical undergraduate degree in the relevant subject.
  • Be at an early stage in one’s career with limited research experience but must have demonstrated interest or aptitude for research. 

KDS Undergraduate Scholarship Contest

This is a contest-based scholarship awarded to students who demonstrate the most outstanding results. Potential Students are required to share how they overcame hardships in their society or life. It offers up to $1500 for tuition for Bachelor's and Master's degree students.

  • Eligibility- graduate and undergraduate students from any country including Niue are free to apply. The Students should be commencing studies or registered with an institute in Niue and undertaking full-time study.
  • Benefits include the first prize of $1500, the second prize of $1000, and $500 as the third prize.

Wells Mountain Foundation Scholarships

The aim of the scholarship is primarily to support programs and individuals in developing nations. Every year the Foundation provides support to several students as they pursue various educational objectives.

Financial support is primarily offered to cover the costs of the education and directly related expenses including stationery and other supplies. Scholarships cover a full period of study but students must maintain good grades and provide copies of all semester reports and grades as they are received. The scholarship can and will be discontinued at any time in the event of unsatisfactory performance by the candidate.

 Eligibility- The ideal candidate is from a developing country who:

  • Completed secondary education, with good to excellent grades.
  • Will be studying in any country in the developing world.
  • Plans to live and work in their own country after graduation.
  • Has once volunteered before applying for this scholarship and/or is willing to do volunteer work while receiving the WMF scholarship.
  • who is not able to go to school without a scholarship.
  • Submits a complete, legible application in English

Benefits- Scholarships range from $300.US to $3000.US and cover:

  • Tuition and fees.
  • Books and materials.
  • Room rent and meals.

Royal Society International Exchange Programme

This scholarship offers partial funding for international students pursuing Post-Doctoral studies in Natural Sciences. This scholarship can be taken at any UK and any overseas institution.

  • Eligibility: it is open to all nationals
  • Benefits: The scholarship offers Travel allowances and Research expenditure to the awardees.
